DIFFERENT APPROACH.
Kids with Dyslexia generally love to create, imagine and thinking in different ways than kids without dyslexia. This also means the way they learn needs to be different as well. There are many resources out there but they can be very expensive . I wanted to give kids a free tool that I use to make for myself when I was trying to learn to read.
EVOLUTION OF DESIGN.
My tutor who helped me learn reading was an artist herself. She had many great ideas and ways to make the words jump off the pages and speak to me. Her favorite was to let me draw a picture of the word on the flashcard or letter or sound. Then we would repeat them over and over, using the pictures to help me memorize the word. This was a very effective way for me to learn the sight words, as well as the sounds.
STUNNING CONCEPTS.
After years of working with her, she would say; we need to keep these cards. From there the idea of helping kids by creating cards came into being and now we try to work together to make the dream a reality.
